Voting is something you don't miss until it's gone! Vote now or forever hold your peace.
See you at the poles!
I just hope we see some change for the good this time around and no offense to anyone who has a differnet viewpoint I am just keeping my fingers crossed and we get to see the Republicans take the house!
Hi Kathy - Until I saw your post, I was not aware of a "mail-in ballot" election in Canada for any level of government. I knew that mail-in ballots could be used as a form of advance voting or voting, in some cases, if the voter was physically outside of the geographic area. However, I had not heard of mail-in balloting replacing the traditional polling booths. However, reading the Uxbridge town website confirmed that the Ontario Municipal Elections Act allows such voting.
Kellie - those who do not exercise their right to vote have no right to complain
Marc - If I count correctly Uxbridge has used the mail in Ballot four times now ..... no polling booths no poll clerks only paid municipal staff processing the ballots
